Frequently Asked Questions
HYPNOTHERAPY
How will I know if Hypnotherapy is right for me?
I encourage you to firstly read the contraindications to any trance based work as it is not suited to everyone and precautions are advised. You can book a clarity call which will be conducted in your preferred method either with a telephone call or a zoom call.
Can Hypnotherapy control me?
All hypnosis is self hypnosis and the suggestions used will be created to you specifically after in depth consultation and reviews. Your subconscious will only take on what resonates and is helpful towards your goals and healing. The processes used are not like stage hypnosis and are designed to support your journey of what you wish to overcome and want to create. It is a collaboration.
Can I claim on my health insurance and are you registered with a professional body?
For Hypnotherapy I am on the National Hypnotherapy Society register and abide by their code of ethics and practice. Many health insurance companies recognise this.
SHAMANIC HEALING
Is Shamanic healing and journey circles suitable to everyone?
Shamanic circles are not a substitute for medical consultation for physical, mental and psychological illnesses, but it is a powerful natural form of healing as well as a space for social connections. It is not group therapy and should not be approached as such. Shamanic Journeying involves using the drum to help participants go into a hypnotic trance state of alpha and theta brainwaves, where they can access deeper levels of their being. It creates a dynamic journey fostering a sense of wholeness and integration.
Like any form of sound work it may not be suitable for everyone as it involves repetitive beats, rattles and sometimes chanting. This can be a trigger for some forms of epilepsy and trauma. It is particularly contraindicated for those suffering from active schizophrenia, PTSD and other reality perception-altering conditions.
Contraindications: If you have had or are currently experiencing any of the following, hypnosis/ trance work is not advised within the scope of my work.

E.A.S.E
Is EASE available for individuals?
Not currently. Due to our team working with a licensed yard that we travel to, sessions are for groups and are for half or full days.
Is EASE available for corporate training groups?
Yes, myself and Claire Burgess both have experience with this and can tailor packages for groups.
We have access to overnight accommodation at the Marriott Hotel over the road, other team building activities such as water sports, foot golf and access to the beautiful grounds and cafe of Delapre Abbey all closely accessible from the stables.
Is EASE suitable for people with physical disabilities?
Where we try to accommodate many needs, the yard has some uneven surfaces which are challenging for wheelchairs. There is a toilet but it is not suitable for wheelchairs to access. As working with horses can present an increased risk of physical safety, we ask that you call us to discuss so we can risk assess with you.
